Description: Shows major power transmission lines (over 69 kV) in the state of New Mexico. This layer is part of the "Airspace Structures" map service, which contains information about airspace obstructions within the state of New Mexico. These obstructions may restrict development and include wind turbines, radar viewsheds, and power transmission lines, among other spatial features. Lines in non-military areas were obtained on request and compiled by Delta Environmental Services, last updated 09/01/2011. Ft Bliss Lines were obtained from the Southern New Mexico – El Paso, Texas Joint Land Use Study Planning Tool on request to the website developer, downloaded on 06/19/2019. Proposed SunZia line was digitized by Matrix Design Group from source documents dated 7/1/2016. Digitization was performed in early 2020. Contact source: web search for transmission line owner. Recommend updating of contact sources yearly to every few years.
